Meet at the end of Industrial Boulevard at 8:00 a.m. Hike will proceed along the mostly level and gravel path with numerous muddy spots and occasional water crossings, out to the mouth of the Mendenhall wetlands. This area attracts waterfowl, shorebirds, as well as songbirds and raptors in the meadows. One of the premiere birding hotspots in Juneau, it also attracts dog walkers. Please leave your dog at home. Rubber boots are recommended. (Low tide 2.3’ at 6:11am)
