Who We Are
Since 1977 JAS has been focused on birding, education, and conservation in Southeast Alaska. We have an all-volunteer board, with no paid staff.
Our mission statement is: “to conserve the natural ecosystems of Southeast Alaska, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future generations.
We differ from the national and state Audubon entities in that we:
